That’s scary. You see, Linda had flattened her ears when she kissed Sonya. For me, this is a red flag. In my experience, every loving kiss is accompanied by deep attention to the person we are kissing, and our ears are either relaxed or pointed sharply towards the loved one. Like Sonya’s years. She loves. But Linda… she has come up with something.
I see it as her being afraid of rejection but still going through with it regardless. A lot of animals will approach unknown things with their ears folded backwards but still push forwards cautiously. This seems like one of those kind of situations, she’s being cautious but still pushing forwards, prepared for rejection (probably her first crush situation).
That’s what I thought at first. But, I must say, I don’t remember a single time that the cautions animal “told” me “I like you!”, it was always something else: “I’m curious”, “I’m hungry”, “I’m cold”, “I need you to do something for me”.
So on the second thought, it looks for me like Linda is saying with that kiss “I really need you!”, but without saying with her ears “I really like you!”.
Yes, reading into… I like it and need it. Especially this comic. Because it changes the way I see the world for the better and, I guess, for good. Thank you!
There is always a risk I’ve been reading way too much into. I may misunderstand everything. I may deeply regret after sharing my thoughts. So I close my eyes and lower my eyebrows every time I post something, to make it not so scary to post. But I don’t draw back my ears, because it would make it even scarier.

But telling Mikhail to “hold their tongue” because you feel like they are over analyzing things is over the line.
folding ears back can also be shyness or nervousness in many animals. not directly linked to fear. learn how to read an animal and you can know more about them than the animal itself. body language is as critical for communication as actual words
