I couldn’t tell from the pic, but it’s rather far away in the distance so that’s understandable (light rays coming from a given facet would be basically parallel to each other, so the whole face would be viewed from ‘the same angle’, so any rainbow effect would only appear between facets… And the effect would likely be miniscule compared to the rest of the shading and reflections of the environment).
… I’m gonna stop myself from asking any more details, as the questions I almost typed are the sort that just really SHOULDN’T be asked of a fictional material. Suffice to say I’ve spent way too much time messing with the rendering of color spectrums and should do something more productive.
