Most were content to stay in their virtual world on the PATH and rotate out to the planet. Few maybe even one, wanted to explore past the bounds of their known galaxy. Likely not a lot of research going into that area with a bigger threat looming. Plus if you read the page it was the first successful use of warp.
Building a warp drive is an absurdly complicated thing, even for an immortal civilization. They only now solved it, thanks to having, y’know, interdimensional rift research to work with :p Even then it’s nowhere near capable of pushing an actual ship, only this missile sabot.
Hadn’t thought of that; that they developed warp drives by first researching interdimensional rifts. Usually I think of those as reversed; research into interdimensional spaces being a result of research into warp drive technology.
It makes absolute sense for them to be researching the rift first though, so it’s a very well-explained reason for it to be in this order! Neat :3
– Hey, bomb specialist, why do you suggest as exactly this bomb solution?
– Because I’m good bomb specialist, of cause! Also, I do secretly want to see what will happen.
I don’t know how your bomb’s supposed to work, so can’t really judge it. Either way, we all know it didn’t work, or was thwarted by the creature, else there wouldn’t have been so many world-ending events.
Congrats on the warp drive technology, though! That technology will help in other ways, if used cleverly.
Well, they end up losing most tech at one point, but I’m talking about the warp drive as it was the only functioning one. Unless Fer chimes in saying otherwise of course.
I’d speculate, they may try to «feed» anomaly with the bomb, hoping it will «swallow» the most of the blast, thus preventing damage to the world, and blast-cutting the source of anomaly.
The firearms and bombs may be used for the common good. However the common good is not for everyone but for living ones only. I think, you are right, this is no joke.
Dances over the abyss! And the leap of faith!
So it came to “Ze cannons are primed and ready to fire!” scenario anyway? I whish best luck to all of them.
So they were never interested in exploring the universe, or why is it that they only thought about builing a wrap drive now?

Wow! this is getting good! I want to see them pull the trigger… to see what happens.

Cool! great.
There is a risk we have to take, if our world is what at stake. It is not easy thing to trust, but best our choice is heavy blast.
yeah exactly!
Aah, going the ‘ol Krikkit route, eh?

Don’t worry they lost that tech. ^_^
The bomb, the warp drive, or both?

Hey, we couldn’t end an international war, so we used not one, but two bombs. Can’t say that a bomb is the worst solution. ;P
but i probably shouldn’t be making jokes about things like that, sorry.

I wholeheartedly agree.

And, thinking about the luck… If Ruzha is particularly lucky? Should she pull the trigger for the second time?
