Fer… You keep getting better and better. Last week I had doubts about the canister being an artifact. But I see now that they do come in all sizes.
(Really nice energy discharge pattern!)
Fer… Damn right it does!! From ToT 3-2 …The blue artifact in the middle..
Now we know where it came from, a little of what it can do, and why Sha has Red working for her. What better way to study the effects of an artifact on a live subject than in a real world setting..
Fer.. I am understanding (somewhat) the way you are doing the artwork in ToT. The little details that you insert and a few pages later make an oblique reference back to them. Oh, those who are so blind that they simply will not see! The answers are there, if you are willing to pay attention.
I keep things fairly subtle, it makes it more fun for me to write and I hope more intriguing to read for those who pick up on everything.
Sometimes I worry that I’m too subtle, but I wouldn’t want to write it more blatant, ‘cuz then I feel like I’m spelling things out for people, and I want y’all to discover things for yourselves :p
Yeaaaah I know. I didn’t have time to sit down and study impact mechanics >_> All I know is your back muscles contort really hard when you land on a hard surface, such as a rock.
i apologize in advance if i seem rude, but the way he hits the ground is indicative of a straight drop, not an angled throw, which is what happened. a small edit i would suggest would be moving him a little to the left so the curvature of the spine and the direction of the throw would place him over the point of the rock approximately one scale foot to the left of where his hands are and canting him about 5 degrees so he lines up with the boulder. also, the way his eyes are rolled is indicative of a head injury. moving him like i said would add a little more realism and danger to the scene.
no problem ferreta. and now a comment for the lovely cow(incoming shout of text). YOU. DO. NOT. EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, MOVE SOMEONE WHO HAS HAD SPINAL INJURIES! YOU COULD MAKE IT SO HE NEVER WALKS AGAIN. AND IT WOULD BE ALL. YOUR. FAULT. YOU MAY BE THE HEADMASTER’S DAUGHTER, AND THAT MAY GIVE YOU SOME CLOUT, BUT THIS IS INEXCUSABLE. (sorry)
The bear is the daughter, the panda’s just a big muscly henchlady. Hence why the bear lady is the better dressed one and also the one standing back and letting the other two do the work :p
thats the thing though. you dont move someone with a spine injury. you leave them there. even if they are in water, you leave them right there and go get help.
I understand Fer’s answer, but she has the impact reaction down pretty good. Especially with Red coming down across the pointed edge of the rock. From a real world view this sort of impact would at least snap someones spine plus the blood coming from Red’s mouth and nose says that there are serious internal injuries. Which, without some form of intervention would most likely be fatal.

There are even multiple types of artefacts ;D This one does look familiar though..

Exactly! Free access to a live experiment!

So hard finding good help now a days.
I know, right? Gawsh, cut your hair, ya hippie!
First panel looks off. What’s he hitting? His back is arching weird.

It’s not at all rude, I welcome critique 🙂 I’ll work on figuring out my impact physics more, promise.

oh. but that still doesn’t excuse the panda from moving him.
She had more important things to think about, like getting him to someone who could help. :p

Look, the girl only knows two things in this world, Bash and Smash. Spines are a thing your opponents have that you crush!
To be fair, if somebody is about to drown it’s better to be without a spine than be dead.
edit: lovely panda.

So long as it indicates a rough idea of what’s going on, I’d consider it a reasonable success :p
that poor fish…
