Hi! I’m Feretta, and I’m the writer, artist, director and everything-elseor for A Tale of Tails. My hobbies include biking, being a genius, committing horrendous evil, taking over the world (I try to limit that to every other thursday, though), computers, technology, carpenting and art! My superpower is pulling world lore out of my ass on the fly. It’s a great party trick.
I am a former graphic designer with a degree in media design, as well as a degree in electrical work, and now I’m a professional porn artist on main.

I can be whatever you want me to be, I’m not fussy. Very fuzzy though.
I have a few radical, hard line political opinions, such as:
1 – We all should abide by a social contract where everyone has the right to live peaceful, safe and healthy lives, in whatever form they see fit. This means EVERYONE. Not just whoever you think is “most worthy”. Not just those who are able to work, or the “correct” gender, or skin color, or religion, EVERYONE.
2 – Do. No. Harm. Those who break this are breaking the rules of the social contract above, and are thus no longer covered by it.
Obviously these are very extreme and radical things to think, according to the current political climate.

I am a big fan of your works. I read this comic today completely for the fifth time. I am totally into it. I read comics and novels a lot but this is the best story I’ve read so far.
I love technology and magic stuff. In this comic you tell us about magic and after that you explain us how magic was created by technology in the past. It’s so cool.
I fell in love with Vix in the first time I read this comic. She is adorable and so kind. I don’t know how you created such amazing characters. They are so perfect.
My favourite part in this comic is when fen searching for Vix in the library. That part is so adorable.
And also I like your art style so much. Your art style inspired me to try out drawing. So I bought a drawing pad also.
There is something alive in this comic. You create a your own beautiful world feretta. It’s amazing.

Has this site ever been ddos(distributed denial of service) attack?
That’s a very odd question to ask.
I know but I’m just curious on how web sites recover from the attack and how they protect from it
I would recommend, instead of asking in random comment sections, asking in communities that discuss those kinds of topics. ” forums” or ” discord” should help.

Protection usually comes through cloud services like Cloudflare. These work to mitigate the attack by distributing the load and blocking traffic that it interprets as hostile. My host runs its own defensive system, which they recently launched.
As for recovering, it requires either active intervention to lock down the attack by switching host IPs or similar, or just waiting until it passes because it’s not an infinite thing.

Actually, I would like to do one because I’m spanish and when I show people who didn’t read this piece of art liked it, so maybe if there was a spanish speaking server more people could see your art. Also, you could join if you want so you check anything you’d like to see.

Hello. I really like your comics and the style of your drawings. I would like to translate your Space Vix comic into Russian for “acomics.ru”. I know that your work on it is now suspended, but this is not a problem, because I will have more time to translate both existing and subsequent pages when they appear. According to the rules, I need your permission to publish the translation. I wanted to write to you about this personally, but did not find links to your e-mail.
It’s a bit of an awkward comic to post anywhere other than Webtoon, but sure, go for it.

By the way, I’ve planned to split large pages into several small ones because I can’t save the image from webtoon in full size.
Awkward because it’s really tall and Webtoon has it cut up into 1280px heights :p I plan to make a new section of this site and remodel that comic to fit here instead, though, so if you give me like.. Half a year, I might get around to it.
It’s a great idea to bring comic here in a more convenient format. I was just thinking of doing this during the translation and publication on “acomics.ru”, because there are some restrictions on page size.
I’m not sure that I can do everything perfectly and most likely the fragments will not be the same size so as not to separate the important elements of the frame. Nevertheless, I really want to make this translation in order to bring this story to a larger number of readers. Vix is just too cute to ignore her 🙂

reason i was initially suspecting they had shut your accout down was for the first 10-ish hours, when i would try to goto your page, the “sensitive media” warning would come up. and there wasnt anywhere in the settings to turn it off. so i thought this was how they were going to issue bans or something.

Hey Ferreta first of all love your work been following you since the very beginning of tails of tales and can’t wait to see more stuff come out. I’m a young artist who’s just gotten ok with drawing and been wanting to draw a graphic novel for years now. I already have a story and all that, but I still have the problem of getting my characters out my head and onto the paper in front of me for rough sketches and brainstorms. Do you have any like tips or tutorials on how you draw your characters as I love your art style and want to put a little of it into my novel. If so could you send them to me I would absolutely cherish any help I could get.

Heheh…I’ve been trying to write a few stories of my own for a few years now, and have been gradually making progress on my artistic abilities… The combination of the two has me wanting to start something along the lines of what you have going on here. However… It would be more along the lines of comic-style border templates being edited via computer, then printed so I can do the artwork by pen, then scanned to edit and make the final product. I was wondering if I could talk with you about this to see what you thought.
If you want to draw it traditionally, do a quick sketch of your panel layouts, then draw each panel without borders on separate bits of paper. That way, you can focus entirely on the art itself, and do the framing digitally afterwards 🙂

Hey Feretta, you have probably answered this question a few times but what program(s) do you use to create your comic?
Entirely made in Clip Studio Paint from start to finish. Sometimes I make quick little 3D models of places and architecture to help perspective, usually it’s just raw freehand.
Cool, I appreciate the reply. I’m planning on getting a nice tablet in the next month or so when money permits. (College and all.) Do you have any tips on digital art in general?
It takes practice, don’t get discouraged and try to keep a light touch. And use your wrist and elbow more than your fingers :p You’ll understand if you keep it in mind.

Not sure what would be causing that, but your file might be broken.. What’s the file size of it?
I appreciate how biking is at the top of you list. Could you elaborate on the the style of biking, and whether the average ferellian would find difficulty mountain biking?

The average Farellian is pretty sturdy and strong, so they’d be quite fine with mountain biking.
As for myself, I like going fast on smooth flat surfaces.
What i meant was, would the leg or body shape of someone like fenfen clash with the shape of the bike?
Not really, it’d be like biking with your toes, which is what you do anyway :p

You know in Russia it is now White Nights.The sun is only down from 24:00-03:00.Worst thing about it is sun still shines at 21:00 like it is midday.
In northern Norway, we have 24 hour sunlight in high summer. Thankfully, I no longer have a bedroom window towards the sunset/rise (which generally happen 3-5 minutes apart), so I get to sleep in the summer now. Except for the heat due to the boiler room under my apartment..

Heh…My air conditioner is completely busted, and it’s an old house, so only a handful of windows open. The house was sweltering a few days ago…

I’m 33, I learned from home and I started drawing “seriously” roughly 13 years ago. Most of my development has happened in the last 3 years.

At the moment, I’m not sure what I’ll be doing with the site, it’s kinda on the backburner. I might end up paying someone to finish setting it up though :p In the meantime, it’s mostly just for easy archiving and reading of the comic for y’all.

Yeah, but other webcomic artists generally simplify their pages, I go out of my way to increase complexity and visual looks. Plus a full time job and multiple side projects. And it’s not like I get paid to do this, I do it ‘cuz I love it 🙂
